A submission for the Main Gate Design Competition in Gwangyang, the city name stands for “ Bright light City”, in South Korea.

The gate features diamond-shaped panels symbolizing the fragrance of light, extending outward to welcome visitors. Facing east, the gate captures and reflects the morning sunrise, greeting those entering the city. While in the evening, it reflects the sunset, offering a symbolic farewell to those departing. This interaction with natural light emphasizes and represents the city's identity as the main gate of Gwangyang.
