Identiscentory delves into the realm of the sensory journey, offering participants the opportunity to retrieve, reinforce, and share their narratives through an enchanting analogue kinetic mechanical installation. By focusing on the interplay of olfaction, audio, and tactility, our project seamlessly blends these elements to create a rich and multi-faceted experience.
Participants sharing their memories through audio speeches. These speeches are then transformed into note papers: tangible representations of their unique experiences. As participants feed these note papers into the kinetic installation, a mesmerizing visual transformation unfolds, vividly illustrating the conversion of their inputted information into captivating and visually stunning artworks. The act of manually generating kinetic motions brings a sense of ceremony and celebration, effectively decoding individuals’ memories and translating them into abstract art forms.
